The Autumn Salon of Painting and Sculpture of La Rioja, organized by the City Hall of Cenicero with the collaboration of the Government of La Rioja, turns forty. Created as a cultural culmination of the events held in the city during the year 1979, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the concession of the city title, it has been celebrated biennially, so that this year will be the eighteenth edition. Between 1985 and 1993, the hall was held at the Aguado Arts and Design Center in Logroño. It will take place between November 22 and December 1, at the Cultural Center “Las Monjas”, on Victoria Street. During these dates and from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekdays, and from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. holidays, you can see works by Aguado, Amelivia, José Luis Birigay, Pedro Pablo Blanco, Pako Campo, José Ignacio Casis, Cenzano and Nela Escalera. Pieces by Isabel Gómez, Olaia García, Carmelo Gracia, Larry Karlin, Arancha Lanchares, Óscar Llano, Lucía Loza, Teresa Nájera and Narvaiza will also be offered. Other artists who will be present are Olarte, Ortega, Rafael Pérez, Portilla, Immaculate Sáenz, Sáenz de Pipaón, Ivana Sagasti, Sagasti, Francisco Javier Salinas, Sevilla, José María Sobrón, Yohana Soldevilla, Santiago Urizarna, Uzqueda and Tegoa. The official inauguration of the exhibition will take place on a public event to be held in the auditorium of the house of culture, and it is expected to have a good number of artists who exhibit their works. For a city of this size, it is a pride to be able to enjoy a cultural event of this caliber. The Autumn Salon of Painting and Sculpture of La Rioja has earned a well-deserved prestige over the years, and has the affection of all the inhabitants of the city of Cenicero.
