In the Tunnel a Bird
The premiere of the theater play “En el Túnel un Pájaro” (“In the Tunnel a Bird”), penned by the acclaimed playwright Paloma Pedrero and masterfully directed by María Jesús Varona and Loly Rodríguez, marked a significant moment in my acting career. Sharing the stage with talented co-stars like Irene Cruz, Chon Varela, and Carmelo García was not only a professional privilege but also a personal joy. The synergy and camaraderie among the cast added depth and vibrancy to our performances, making each moment on stage memorable.
A Journey Through Iconic Venues
Our journey with “En el Túnel un Pájaro” took us to some extraordinary venues, each with its own unique ambiance and historical significance. Performing at the Arenal Theater, Casa de Vacas in Retiro, the Catalonian Circle, and in Collado-Villalba was a remarkable experience. These venues, with their diverse settings and audiences, provided the perfect backdrop for our play, enhancing the connection between us actors and our audience.
Representing the Community of Madrid
Being part of a production that represented the Community of Madrid in the independent theater cycle “Living Culture” was a profound honor. This recognition not only underscored the play’s cultural and artistic value but also highlighted our commitment to bringing quality theater to a wider audience.
Reflecting on the experience, I fondly recall the moments of saying “bernardinas” on stage—a term that holds special significance in the context of our play. These memories are a testament to the lasting impact that such a production can have on an actor’s life, leaving an indelible mark on both professional and personal levels. I miss saying bernardinas…
For those who appreciate the art of theater and the power of a well-told story, “En el Túnel un Pájaro” offers a poignant reminder of the beauty and transformative power of stage performance.
